A generous gift provides an additional vehicle

In September 2017 an anonymous Canadian donor provided $20,000 to Edward Ndlovu Community Libraries for the purchase of an additional vehicle for use in delivering the book boxes to the rural community libraries. The two older ones have seen much wear and tear over the years and one of them can no longer survive excursions off the major tarred roads.

The funds were transferred to the Edward Ndlovu Memorial Trust, and used to purchase a very solid Ford Ranger which is able to handle rough terrain and we hope will last us many more years of use.

Truck negotiates some difficult roads

This vehicle can negotiate some very difficult stretches of “road”, washed away when the infrequent rains do finally fall, producing torrents.

Everyone is most grateful for this wonderful donation, which will allow the continuation of the present work, and perhaps its expansion to additional communities and schools in the district.
