We have a new project in rural schools!

Just over a year ago, in August 2023, we piloted a new project in one of the rural primary schools participating in our book box programme.  Selonga Primary was selected for the pilot and was deemed a great success.

Children check out books from the school library

They now can take them home in the bags provided, for the school holidays.

Reading can continue through the year, whereas previously books could only be borrowed during the school term time.

A shelf of books and the bags have been provided through funding from Book Aid International. In 2024 BAI provided funds to add three more schools to this project.
