This week a very large solar panel was installed on the roof of the library! The panel will reduce our electricity costs substantially, but will also mean that we have power to keep our services operating during frequent outages of mains electricity. Our staff and our users will have wifi to access the internet and be able to keep computers running. No more expensive diesel for the generator!
